The Winnebago Labrador Retriever Club (WLRC) is an AKC licensed club that was designed to encourage and promote the quality of pure-bred Labrador Retrievers and to highlight the versatility, trainability and beauty of the breed.
The Club's mission is to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by promoting quality breeding, encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials, hunting retriever tests and other performance events and education in the qualities and responsibilities of Labrador Retriever ownership.
WLRC conducts licensed specialty shows, obedience trials, rally trials, agility trials, Fast CAT, FETCH, and hunting retriever tests under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

The Issue of the Silver Labrador
Frances O Smith, DVM, PhD Chair, Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. Genetics Committee
It is the opinion of the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc., the AKC parent club for the breed, that a silver Labrador is not a purebred Labrador retriever. The pet owning public is being duped into believing that animals with this dilute coat color are desirable, purebred and rare and, therefore, warrant special notoriety or a premium purchase price.
Labradors are part of the Sporting Group and are excellent at retrieving objects, making them well-suited for activities like fetch, service dogs and various dog sports.
Labradors are known for their friendly and sociable nature. They tend to get along well with people and other pets.
Labradors are highly intelligent and easily trained.
Labradors are a high-energy breed that requires regular exercise and playtime to keep them happy and healthy.
Labradors have a playful and fun-loving personality, often enjoying games, toys, and outdoor activities that keep them engaged and entertained.
Distinguishing Features of the Labrador Retriever are their Beautiful Head, thick waterproof double coat, and Otter Tail.
Black, Chocolate, & Yellow Only
Whether you are looking for a family companion, hunting buddy, or talented sport dog, a Labrador may be the perfect dog for you!
Labradors are very happy and love to wag their thick otter tail, especially to clear the coffee table.
